Drake Reminds The Masses That He’s “Still Alive” During First Australia Tour Stop

Drake felt the need to remind the masses that he’s “still alive” during the first stop of his Australian Anita Max Win Tour.

The proud Canadian made the statement to the Perth crowd toward the end of the Feb. 4 concert, declaring in video captured by fans, “My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive.”

The statement follows the 6 God’s rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, which most would argue he lost thanks to K. Dot’s smash diss track, “Not Like Us.” The song was such a behemoth, that it earned Kendrick five Grammys on Sunday (Feb. 2) night, including two of the Big Four categories, Record and Song of the Year.

While most Hip-Hop fans believe Kendrick “killed” Drake in battle, the artist formerly known as Kanye West insists that his “nemesis” could make a comeback, comparing Drizzy to Golden State Warriors shooter, Steph Curry.

“Yeah, for now,” Ye responded when asked if Dot killed the hitmaker. “You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might get 200 points in one song or something.”

Ye went on, “Drake added something to the algorithm. He advanced it, Future advanced it and now Kendrick is advancing the frequency […] If you don’t really learn, as a professional rapper [in] a sport, what Kendrick is doing, you might be wiped out.”

Fans looking for new music from Drizzy have about a 10-day wait, as his joint album with PartyNextDoor is set to be released on Valentine’s Day.
