Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin: “We’re Going to Celebrate, But We’ve Got Work to Do”

Pittsburgh, PA – Following a decisive victory over the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media, expressing his satisfaction with the team’s performance while emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus for the upcoming playoff run.

“Great to have Christmas and Merry Christmas to all our fans and um part of the organization that couldn’t be here,” Tomlin began. “So and a good way to good way to celebrate it right here in in Pittsburgh. So Mike tomlin’s done a phenomenal job with this football team and overcome a lot of barriers there and really the guys are playing tough tough football and he’s in the playoffs and so uh we we know that our work isn’t done for sure.”

Tomlin acknowledged the team’s recent successes, highlighting the contributions of key players like Najee Harris and Kenny Pickett. He also praised the coaching staff for their effective game plan, particularly on a short week.

“Pat with a big day 29 for 38 um and nags nags with his game plan putting this thing together on a short week man that’s a tough thing to do and those guys when they had free time which it wasn’t a lot they made sure they they got a solid game plan as did spags with his crew and coaches,” Tomlin said.

Looking ahead, Tomlin emphasized the need to maintain focus and avoid complacency. “We’re going to celebrate this but we we’re going to get right back on we’ve got a good Denver team that we’re going up to play and we’ve got uh the playoffs coming up so we’ve got a we got to make sure we stay stay sharp throughout here,” he stated.

The coach also addressed the team’s injury situation, noting that while some players are dealing with minor ailments, the overall health of the team is improving.

“On the positive side of that uh he played good football along with Kareem and pery just keep making plays for us,” Tomlin said.

Finally, Tomlin expressed his gratitude to the fans and extended holiday greetings to all. “I G it uh how much of what we’ve seen the past couple weeks offensively in particular is getting Hollywood back and obviously zier’s playing at a different speed I know but how much do you think those two things,” he concluded.

The Steelers now turn their attention to their upcoming matchup against the Denver Broncos, eager to maintain their momentum and secure a successful playoff run.
