“I know my life is perfect, you losers can’t compete”: Simone Biles won’t tolerate your hate: Star gymnast shuts down critics after luxury splurge

Simone Biles, fresh off her triumphant performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has found herself at the center of online debate after being spotted with a new Hermès handbag.

Simone Biles claps back at haters

The 27-year-old gymnast, who made history by becoming the most decorated gymnast ever, faced criticism from some fans who accused her of flaunting her wealth following her Olympic success.

Biles, however, was quick to address the controversy.

In response to the backlash, she clarified that the expensive Hermès bag was a gift from her parents, not a self-purchase.

“My parents bought me my Hermès bag,”Biles explained.

“Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents.”

The debate began when Biles shared photos from a shopping trip in Paris, where she posed in front of a wall lined with Hermès Birkin bags, some of which can cost tens of thousands of dollars.

She also posted a photo of an orange gift box, the signature packaging of Hermès, hinting at a luxurious purchase.

While some fans defended Biles, stating she should enjoy her success and spend her money as she pleases, others accused her of showing off and overshadowing her fellow Olympians who might not have the same financial opportunities.

Biles is used to living under a magnifying glass

This isn’t the first time Biles has had to navigate public scrutiny.

Throughout her career, the gymnast has consistently faced criticism, whether it’s regarding her personal life or her decisions on and off the mat.

Recently, she defended her husband, Chicago Bears defensive back Jonathan Owens, after fans questioned his right to wear her gold medal during their time in Paris.

Despite the criticism, Biles remains undeterred.

She will be joined by her fellow Olympians Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles, who, alongside Biles, helped secure gold for Team USA in Paris.

The tour promises to showcase the best of American gymnastics talent, with performances from both the women’s and men’s teams, including Paul Juda, Brody Malone, and Fred Richard, who made history by winning bronze in Paris – the first U.S. men’s gymnastics team to medal at the Olympics in 16 years.
