‘Let’s celebrate’: Simone Biles prepares to paint Kansas City gold
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The most decorated gymnast of all time is preparing to paint Kansas City gold this week. Simone Biles is set to bring her Gold Over America Tour, also referred to as the GOAT, to the T-Mobile Center on Wednesday.
The 11-time Olympic medalist said, “Think of a high-energy pop-style concert with gymnastics. We’re out here dancing and interacting with the crowd.”
Coming on the heels of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Biles calls the tour a celebration across America.

“I think we all deserve it because every time we compete, we’re always thinking about what’s next. But after the success we had in Paris, it’s like no let’s celebrate this! Let’s drag this out as long as we can,” Biles said.
But the Olympic gymnast admits preparation for the tour has been different.
“Whenever we are competing, it is a little bit more of a stressful environment. This is very relaxed. We just had to go to rehearsals to learn all the numbers we are here to perform on tour,” Biles went on, “Once we got that it was kind of like let’s get this ball rolling and put this show on the road!”
While on the road, Biles said she hopes to inspire the next generation of athletes in attendance.
“I hope they leave with a piece of gold,” Biles said. “Everyone has something golden inside of them that is ready to shine. So, go out there and get it!”
