Patrick Mahomes equals Tom Brady’s greatness… at least in one NFL milestone…

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes continues to carve his name into NFL history, recently tying an impressive record previously held by New England Patriots legend Tom Brady.

Patrick Mahomes’ quest to Outdo Tom Brady Continues
In the Chiefs’ 14th consecutive one-score win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes reached a major milestone, matching Brady for the fewest starts required to reach 100 wins as a starting quarterback.

With the rate Mahomes is performing, there’s a big chance that he will break the record in his next outing against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Mahomes emulates Brady’s trajectory
Both Mahomes and Brady had limited rookie seasons, with Mahomes making just one start and Brady not starting at all.

But it was their second-year jumps that transformed both players into dynastic leaders, pushing their teams to the top.

Though Mahomes is still years away from matching Brady’s incredible longevity, his early career trajectory is certainly outpacing Brady at the same stage.

In addition to tying Brady’s record, Mahomes also set another Chiefs’ record during the Raiders’ game.

His six-yard touchdown pass to Justin Watson pushed Mahomes past Len Dawson, making him the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown passes with 238.

This touchdown also gave the Chiefs a crucial 7-point lead before halftime in the Black Friday matchup.

At just 29 years old, Mahomes has plenty of time to continue his pursuit of Brady’s numerous records, and his recent performance only fuels the debate about whether he could eventually be considered the greatest of all time.

With the Chiefs now headed to the playoffs for the 10th consecutive year, Mahomes and his team will look to make another deep postseason run, aiming for a third consecutive AFC Championship.

As the Chiefs navigate the rest of the regular season, securing the number one seed in the AFC will be vital to their playoff success.

The path to a third straight Super Bowl appearance runs through Kansas City, and with Mahomes leading the charge, the sky is the limit.
