Bad news for Drake, as his arch-rival, Kendrick Lamar, will have an opportunity to take another brutal shot at the Candian rapper while performing on one of the largest stages in the world.

According to reports, rapper Kendrick Lamar has announced that he will be performing at the Super Bowl 59 halftime show.

Super Bowl 59 is set to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The news comes just months after Kendrick Lamar took the world by storm with his hit song, “Not Like Us,” which took direct aim at Drake and essentially earned him the “W” in their tense back-and-forth battle.

By taking on these duties, Kendrick Lamar joins some big-time company in the music game. Usher led the way during last year’s show, and before him it was Rhianna at Super Bowl 57.

Of course, this won’t be Kendrick Lamar’s first appearance at a Super Bowl halftime show. At Super Bowl 56, he appeared alongside other rap icons like Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at SoFi Stadium in California.

This time around Kendrick Lamar will be the main attraction. Here’s how social media is reacting to the news. Needless to say, many people don’t think this is going to turn out well for Drake:

Other artists who had previously been linked to this year’s halftime show included Lil Wayne and Taylor Swift.
