Mahomes’ Behind-the-Back Pass Stuns NFL World
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes once again showcased his incredible talent during the team’s preseason game against the Washington Commanders. In a play that will be talked about for years to come, Mahomes threw a behind-the-back pass to tight end Travis Kelce, resulting in a touchdown.
The jaw-dropping maneuver caught everyone by surprise, including Mahomes himself. After the game, the reigning Super Bowl MVP admitted that the play was improvised and that he wasn’t sure if he had ever attempted anything similar before.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was unsurprisingly impressed by Mahomes’ ability to execute such a difficult play. “I’ve seen some things in my time, but that was pretty special,” Reid said.
Even New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick took notice of Mahomes’ feat. While Belichick praised the throw, he also expressed skepticism about Mahomes’ ability to consistently replicate such a play.
Mahomes’ behind-the-back pass is just the latest example of his exceptional skill and creativity. The young quarterback has quickly established himself as one of the best players in the NFL, and his future appears to be limitless.
