Andy Reid: Mahomes is a Future Hall of Famer

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has never been shy about praising his star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. In a recent interview, Reid reiterated his belief that Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks he has ever coached and is destined for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to coach some great quarterbacks in my career,” Reid said. “But Patrick is on a different level. He’s got everything you could want in a quarterback: arm strength, accuracy, intelligence, and leadership. He’s already a future Hall of Famer.”

Reid has been with the Chiefs since 2013 and has seen Mahomes develop into a superstar. Mahomes was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and took over as the starting quarterback the following season. Since then, he has led the Chiefs to two Super Bowl appearances, winning one in 2020.

In addition to his on-field talent, Reid also praised Mahomes’ leadership qualities. “Patrick is a great leader,” Reid said. “He’s always willing to help his teammates and he’s a great role model for our younger players. He’s a special guy.”

With Mahomes at the helm, the Chiefs are a perennial Super Bowl contender. Reid and Mahomes have formed a strong bond, and it’s clear that they both believe they can achieve great things together.
