Why Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce and Simone Biles Are Joining The Voice
The Voice unveiled its latest round of playoff advisors, which included two country singers and an Olympian. Find out more about the star players.
The Voice has some knockout talent for the latest round of the competition.
Team Reba got mentored by fellow country music superstar Lainey Wilson. Reba’s decision to bring in the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer comes as she has topped the country charts, reigned supreme as Female Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards, and hosted the show last week.
As for Snoop, the Grammy-nominated rapper had an unconventional choice in for Team Snoop advisor, 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles. After initially making the announcement fans were shocked to see the 27-year-old gymnast offering advice to musicians.
However, that didn’t matter to Snoop Dogg, as she has four letters that over qualifies her for any gig.
“I wanted to bring somebody on that was out of the box,” Snoop told Entertainment Tonight Nov. 25. “It’s four letters that matter, G-O-A-T, D-O-G-G.”
And while Simone knows that she can’t offer help when it comes to vocals, she added that she’s focused on the performance aspect noting, “It’s more of the hardships, the challenges, anxiety, depression about telling a story but staying true to your authentic self.”
But that’s not all for the talent. Carly Pearce will join Michael Bublé as an advisor as his team has their day in the playoffs against Gwen Stefani—who enlisted the help of rapper and dad-to-be Machine Gun Kelly to mentor her team.
