Basketball star Caitlin Clark, known for her impressive skills on the court and her growing influence off it, had a surprising interaction with a homeless man that left many people in awe.
The encounter took place during a visit to a local store, where Clark, dressed casually, was making her way through a shopping aisle. As she was passing by, a man approached her, holding out his hand and asking, “Can you give me $1?” The request was simple, but Caitlin’s response was anything but typical.
Instead of the usual response one might expect from a busy celebrity, who might politely decline or ignore such requests, Caitlin stopped. Without hesitation, she engaged with the man, asking him how his day was going and if he was okay. She even took a moment to ask if there was anything specific he needed beyond money. The interaction was genuine, grounded in empathy and a deep sense of humanity.
As the conversation continued, Caitlin did not just hand over a dollar and walk away. Instead, she took the opportunity to make a small but meaningful gesture. She offered the man a full meal and even connected him with a local organization that could provide more consistent support.
The exchange quickly went viral, with people praising Caitlin’s humility and kindness. Her willingness to look beyond the surface and connect on a personal level reminded many that while celebrities often receive praise for their athletic talents, it’s their character that truly sets them apart.
Caitlin Clark’s response to the homeless man highlights not just her skill on the court, but her compassion and sense of social responsibility off it. In a world where kindness often feels rare, moments like this are a welcome reminder of the power of empathy.
Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery feeling the heat as Butler struggles continue
The Bulldogs have cratered after a strong start
Connor McCaffery
Safe to say that Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery wasn’t expecting the Butler Bulldogs to have the season they are having after joining the coaching staff in September 2024.
The Big East side were picked by many to have a breakout campaign, and they seemed on course to do just that after starting the season with a 7-3 record.
However that strong start seems like a distant memory as Butler have cooled off since then, so much so that they sit at the bottom of the Big East standings.
The Bulldogs currently have an 0-5 record in conference play, with their 80-76 defeat to the Creighton Bluejays adding to the misery. It means Butler, along with DePaul, remain the only Big East teams without a conference win so far this season.
Unfortunately for Butler they need to turn things around quickly, or they run the risk of making some unflattering history. Currently on an eight-game losing streak, this year’s Butler team are inching ever closer to the program’s all-time run of consecutive losses, 12, which was set back in the 1980/81 season.
One of the biggest issues for the Bulldogs has been their offence, as they were averaging 76.6 points per game. That figure has dropped to 71.6 games per game, largely due to their fact that their average has dipped to 66.1 points per game during their losing streak.
Fans wondering when Clark’s good luck will return
With Butler fans desperate for any sort of spark to shake things up, some fans have been wondering when Clark will return to being a good luck charm.

Clark wasn’t in attendance for Butler’s game against Houston on December 7, and since then, the Bulldogs have continued their downward spiral.
They lost to Villanova last week after blowing a 13-point lead, eventually falling 79-51. With games against Seton Hall and DePaul on the horizon, Butler fans will be hoping that the players and coaching staff come up with answers as they look to salvage their season.
