Sad Detail From Taylor Swift’s Final Eras Show Revealed
Taylor Swift spent the final weekend of the Eras tour in Vancouver, British Columbia. After 149 shows in 21 different countries, the pop star took her final bow at BC Place on Dec. 8.
“Vancouver I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date, my beloved Eras Tour,” Swift told the sold-out crowd of 60,000 people before performing her final song, “Karma.”
While her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was not in attendance, as he was playing against the Los Angeles Chargers on “Sunday Night Football” she still changed one of the lyrics to the song to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming home to me.”
Save for a visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Swift, who celebrated her 35th birthday earlier this week, has been lying low since the tour ended.
Gracie Abrams, who opened for Swift on the Eras tour for 49 shows, reveals just how emotionally gut-wrenching that final performance was for the 14-time Grammy winner and Co.
In an interview with NYLON magazine published on Dec. 17, “Everyone had been crying all day. It felt like the last day of school backstage,” Abrams said. “Everyone was walking around with their [Eras Tour] books, signing each other’s books. We were all walking around with Sharpies.”
Swift, who posted a brief message on the end of the Eras tour, is getting some much-needed rest after traversing the globe and performing a three-and-half show for nearly two years.
Fans hope Swift emerges when the Chiefs host the Houston Texas on Saturday, Dec. 21. While the “All Too Well” singe didn’t travel to catch Kansas City’s 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns last weekend, it didn’t comes as as huge surprise, as she’s only attended matchups at Arrowhead Stadium thus far this season.
