Even though the United States failed to complete its mission to win the 4 Nations Face-Off, Brady Tkachuk still came away with lots of memories he’ll treasure for the rest of his life. Not only was he able to don his country’s colors, but he also got to play alongside his brother and Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk.
In his first Instagram post since the U.S.’ 3-2 overtime loss in the tourney’s final against Canada, Brady shared his true feelings about the incredible experience.
“USA is the best. Incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to play with my brother and represent our country together. Thank you for all the support!” the 25-year-old Ottawa Senators forward wrote as a caption for a series of images from the 4 Nations Face-Off.

The post immediately drew attention.
“Electric factory. Bravo. Thanks for what you did for hockey,” said TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette.
“Stud,” former NHL star PK Subban commented.
From another commenter: “As an Ottawa fan we are proud of you…. You played one hell of a tournament , mostly we are glad that you are captain of our team!”
“Great Stuff , Looking Forward to You Leading The SENS to STANLEY PLAYOFFS,” another one shared.
Via a different comment: “You played incredible and showcased your game while making us proud you’re the Captain of the Senators.”
Brady played in all four games in the tournament, recording three assists and finishing with a plus-3 overall. Matthew, on the other hand, appeared in three games and collected two goals and an assist.
Both brothers played hurt in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Because of their injuries, they have yet to suit up for their respective NHL teams since the conclusion of the tournament. Brady sat out Ottawa’s Saturday game against the Montreal Canadiens, while Matthew missed Florida’s game against the Seattle Kraken that day.
