Simone Biles reacts to latest twist in MyKayla Skinner feud: Star “blocked” at 2024 Olympic Games in Paris

Skinner previously claimed Team USA didn’t have what it takes to succeed.

MyKayla Skinner is not keen to celebrate Simone Biles latest success at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as she blocked the Team USA icon, who has now hit back on social media at her rival.

Biles inspired the United States to the gold medal in the team event alongside Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Hezly Rivera and she had no time for her critics as she struck back at Skinner, who previously accused them of lacking desire.

“Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions,” Biles posted to Instagram, paraphrasing Skinner’s criticism before pointing out their success as she defended herself and her troop and gloated at their victory.

And it turns out that Skinner, who won silver in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016, can give it but she can’t take it as she reacted by blocking the 27-year-old. Of course, the newly crowned 2024 gold medalist wasted no time laughing at that too.

“Oop, I’ve been blocked,” Biles posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, on July 31. The post was couple with the pair of eyes emoji, a hand over the mouth emoji and a laughing emoji as she mocked Skinner’s pettiness.

It’s unlikely that the feud will stop there. Jordan Chiles seemed to confirm that Biles was indeed talking about Skinner in her X post.

Chiles shared a snap of a phone that seemed to show Skinner had blocked Biles on Instagram.

Biles led her and her girls to another gold medal in the Summer Olympics, just three years on from her shock exit from the previous ‘Games due to suffering from mental health issues that put her at serious risk.

Team USA scored a 171.296 to beat Italy by over five points as she used a Taylor Swift-inspired routine to wow fans on the stage with an exceptional display on the floor, her area of expertise and somewhere she is regarded as the best ever.

“They called it their redemption tour, and that’s what it is,” coach Cecile Landi said of Team USA’s efforts, as Biles won her fifth Olympics gold. “They wanted the gold they couldn’t get in Tokyo.”

It was Biles’ first gold medal at the Olympics since 2016 and she might not be done there as the legendary athlete competes on Thursday, August 1 in the all-around final, then the vault final on Saturday, August 3 and the floor and beam finals on Monday, August 5.
