Edmonton Oilers sign Connor Clattenburg to a 3 year entry level contract
Breaking news in Oil country as the Edmonton Oilers have signed young Connor Clattenburg to a 3 year entry level contract.
Edmonton Oilers GM Stan Bowman signed prospect Connor Clattenburg to a three-year, entry-level contract on Monday.
Clattenburg was drafted 160th overall by the Oilers in the 2024 Draft in Las Vegas last June.
The 6-foot-2 winger has 15 goals and 57 points in 138 career OHL games split between Greyhounds and Firebirds.
Just last week, Edmonton Oilers insider wrote a column on Clattenburg, emphasizing what he could bring to the lineup.
He’s instant chaos on every shift in a good way. He keeps the other team very honest. However, there is also some offence here
He actually displays some very high skill scoring… He often leaks out on transition and finds the soft spot to get a pass. He has excellent speed and size, so catching and defending him is very tough. When he gets to the net, he definitely has an idea of what to do.»

Overall, I think this is a great signing by Stan Bowman.
Clattenburg had an impressive showing during training camp, and he could potentially emerge as a sneaky star forward in years to come.
