Cincinnati Police ‘Called Out’ For ‘Only Arresting Black People’ In Brawl, Not White Man
What began as a chaotic street brawl in downtown Cincinnati has now spiraled into a firestorm of outrage, after eyewitness videos surfaced showing police allegedly arresting only Black participants—while a white man seen throwing punches walked away without cuffs.
The fight, which broke out outside a popular nightlife spot, drew a large crowd and quickly escalated into a melee involving multiple people. Police swarmed the scene within minutes, but according to witnesses, their actions immediately raised eyebrows.
“They tackled the Black guys to the ground, but they let the white guy just walk off like nothing happened,” one bystander told reporters. “It was so blatant—everyone around us saw it.”
The videos, now going viral across social media, appear to back up the claims. In the footage, several Black men are seen being restrained, handcuffed, and escorted to patrol cars. Meanwhile, the white man—clearly engaged in the fight—remains untouched, even as officers are within feet of him.
Civil rights activists are calling the incident a “textbook example” of racial bias in policing.
“This isn’t 1965—this is 2025, and it’s still happening in plain sight,” one activist said. “Selective arrests based on skin color destroy community trust and reinforce systemic injustice.”
The Cincinnati Police Department has issued a brief statement claiming the arrests were made based on “available evidence and immediate threats at the scene,” but they did not address the viral footage or clarify why the white participant was not detained.
Public pressure is mounting for an internal investigation, with many demanding bodycam footage be released. Local leaders say this moment could become a defining test of the department’s credibility.
As the clip continues to spread online, the question remains: will Cincinnati police hold everyone accountable—or will this become yet another case of unequal justice swept under the rug?
