Ben Stiller Confirms Fourth Meet the Parents Film with Robert De Niro and Reflects on Their Friendship
Ben Stiller, the beloved actor, director, and comedian, recently joined Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show” for a lively interview that touched on everything from his new soda brand to working with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro. Stiller also dropped exciting news for fans of the “Meet the Parents” franchise: a fourth installment is officially in the works.
Stiller’s Soda: Childhood Nostalgia in a Can

The conversation kicked off with Colbert asking about “Stiller’s Soda,” Ben’s latest entrepreneurial venture. Stiller explained that he’s always been a fan of soda, especially classic drinks like the Shirley Temple and cream soda. “I don’t drink [alcohol],” Stiller said, “so a few years ago, someone approached me about doing some sort of booze… but I’m more of a Stiller Shirley Temple type of guy.” The two sampled the soda live on air, with Colbert declaring, “What a time to be alive! That’s delicious!”
Stiller recounted a recent moment that meant a lot to him: “I swear to God I was walking on the street today on Seventh Avenue, a guy walked by holding a can of Stiller’s and goes ‘I love it!’ It was better than any feeling I’ve ever had in my life—better than any review, better than the birth of my children.” The audience erupted in laughter, sharing in Stiller’s joy over his new product.
“Meet the Parents” Returns: “Focker In Law” Announced
Colbert then turned the conversation to Stiller’s film career, asking about rumors of a new “Meet the Parents” movie. Stiller confirmed, “We’re currently filming the fourth installment of the ‘Meet the Parents’ franchise.” The new film is titled “Focker In Law,” and will once again feature Robert De Niro as the intimidating family patriarch.
On Friendship and Working With Robert De Niro

Colbert asked if De Niro ever gets less intimidating on set. Stiller responded with warmth and honesty: “You know, I call him Bob because we’re friends, but he is still extremely intimidating. His great talent is that he has this incredible scary darkness inside of him, right? That we all love to watch. Some days that’s there, some days that’s not. But I find him so much fun to be around. He’s so sweet. He’s 82, in such great shape, and he’s just so funny. He really is just such a funny actor.”
Despite their friendship, Stiller admitted, “Yes, I am still intimidated. But I love it.”
New Documentary: “Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost”
Before leaving, Colbert reminded viewers that Stiller’s new documentary, “Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost,” premieres tomorrow on Apple TV. The film explores the lives and careers of Stiller’s parents, legendary comedy duo Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.
Conclusion

Ben Stiller’s appearance was a blend of nostalgia, humor, and exciting news. With a new soda brand, a heartfelt documentary, and another chapter in the “Meet the Parents” saga, Stiller continues to delight audiences both on and off the screen. Fans can look forward to “Focker In Law” and enjoy “Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost” streaming on Apple TV.
