Looking Ahead After Legal Turmoil

The founder of Bad Boy Records, who was found guilty of two counts of prostitution but acquitted of more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges in July, is now focused on moving forward with his life and career. Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, shared details of the rapper’s ambitions during an interview with Jericka Duncan for CBS Mornings, in a segment scheduled to air Thursday.

“He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden — and I said I’ll be there,” Agnifilo told Duncan, confirming Diddy’s desire to reconnect with his fans and reclaim his place in the rap world.

Family First, Then the Stage

Agnifilo emphasized that Diddy’s top priority is reuniting with his family. “He wants to get back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him,” he said. “I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children.”

When asked whether Diddy is planning to return to the recording studio, Agnifilo clarified, “No — honestly, he has not. OK, one thing he said, he said he was going to be back in Madison Square Garden.” Pressed further about what Diddy would be doing at MSG, Agnifilo replied, “I guess being on stage, you know?”

He added, “I think he’s someone who’s always going to strive to do something exceptional and probably demanding and challenging.”

Presidential Pardon: An Uncertain Future

The news of Diddy’s planned comeback comes amid ongoing efforts by his legal team to secure a presidential pardon. Nicole Westmoreland, another member of Combs’ defense team, confirmed to CNN that they have approached the Trump administration about the possibility.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Westmoreland said.

President Trump addressed the issue during an interview with Newsmax host Rob Finnerty, expressing ambivalence about granting a pardon. “Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent,” Trump remarked, referencing the mixed verdict in Diddy’s case.

Trump reflected on his past interactions with Combs: “I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well, but when I ran for office he was very hostile.”

The former president suggested that personal history and public statements might cloud judgment in such matters. “It’s hard, you know, like, we’re human beings, and we don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements – so, I don’t know, it’s more difficult,” Trump said. “They have talked to me about Sean.”

Asked if he was “more likely a ‘no’ for Combs,” Trump responded: “I would say so.”
