Ignoring All Constraints, Simone Biles Revels in Joy as Gold Over America Tour Reaches Final Stop: “Gonna Miss You”

The final stop on the Gold Over America Tour (GOAT) has arrived in Detroit, after 45 days of getting fans grooving. On November 3, Simone Biles’s pop-themed gymnastics show will take the stage at Little Caesars Arena for its last performance of the season. This is the last chance for fans to witness Biles’s gravity-defying moves in an Olympic year. When will she return to this role again? No one knows. This marks the second edition of the GOAT tour, following its debut in 2021, and while the next edition remains uncertain, this much-anticipated tour has packed emotions into every corner.

After earning her fourth medal at the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles shared a post on her Instagram. The post showed her smiling with her 11 Olympic gold medals (including 4 from Paris). The post’s caption, however, provided an opportunity for further exploration. It said, “6 year old me would be proud 🥹🤎🤞🏾.” Those words revealed that Biles had achieved what she had once dreamed of in her early days. Since childhood, Biles had the opportunity to make her dreams a reality on the gymnastics mat. But does everyone in the U.S. have that chance? Just a week after her post, she returned to the mat once more, sharing a message with every 6-year-old in the audience. That’s the spirit behind the GOAT tour this year. And the message?

Throughout the tour, Simone Biles has taken the stage with an unwavering, positive presence, determined to show that if she can achieve greatness, then anyone can. She has also ignited fan interest in elite gymnastics, a success reflected in the consistently high attendance at each stop on the GOAT tour. Now, with the tour nearing its end, Simone feels the weight of emotions. In her latest post on Threads, she shared a glimpse of those feelings with her followers.

On November 2, Simone Biles put a status on Thread, penning, “to the little girl who yelled “we’re gonna miss you” last night, just know I was unwell.” This explained her engagement with the tour, giving her best performance on the stage while ignoring her own physical constraints. Remember, Biles was the oldest American gymnast to compete in the Paris Olympics at the age of 27, performed despite leg issues, and made it to the GOAT tour without taking a break following the Games. Since then, she has attended all 31 stops on the tour.

Therefore, the toll on Simone’s body is expected. Yet, she is not in any mood to take a break from the ongoing show. Notably, till now, there’s no update on her missing out on GOAT’s final leg. So what can be her reason to grind herself again and again despite having barricades? Love and affection, maybe. The Olympian wanted to prove something through the show. In her words, it was “to just have fun and do what you love and just have confidence.” And she has ticked all the boxes. Proof? The ‘six-year-olds’ have had their fun, and a few Olympians, too. Do you want to know who?

Simone Biles earns her flower for the GOAT tour from her predecessors

Apart from Simone Biles’s colleagues from gymnastics, a few others also attended the GOAT tour and joined the squad on the stage. Kathy Johnson Clarke was one of them. The former artistic gymnast joined Biles on the stage once and the vibe made her satisfied. She left the exceptional show with a large smile on her face. So did Dominique Moceanu.

On October 31, the former US gymnast dropped an Instagram post to share her moments in the GOAT tour. As per the visual, the youngest member of the Magnificent Seven was introduced in the full house with applause and smiles. The members of the GOAT tour lined up to show respect to her and gave her a high-five to welcome her to the show. Simone was also in the line, clapping at her. The moment touched Moceanu’s heart. However, in the caption of the post, she expressed her emotions.

In the caption, she wrote, “Watching Simone’s journey from almost becoming a UCLA Bruin to her Olympic triumphs, the acclaimed Simone Rising on Netflix, and being named SportsPro’s most marketable athlete has been pure magic + The Gold Over America Tour showcased her unmatched spirit & dedication. It was an honor to share the stage with such extraordinary athletes—an experience forever etched in my heart.”Understandably, she also felt the weight of the emotions. But now, the tour is on its endnote and Simone Biles is on her last gymnastics move for this year. Are you feeling goosebumps thinking about those?
