Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently made a few shocking claims about Triple H’s creative decisions. The veteran stated that this apparent pattern might continue until the end of the year or even until the Royal Rumble 2025.

Speaking on The Brand podcast, Vince Russo criticized WWE’s current creative direction, stating that the company is on “cruise control” and recycling storylines. He pointed out similarities between The New Day and the DIY storyline on RAW and SmackDown:

“They’re running the same plays on SmackDown that they are on RAW with just different people. Like the DIY storyline is basically New Day… I just keep telling everybody, guys, here’s the bottom line, they’re [WWE] definitely on cruise control for like the entire month of December. You’re not gonna see anything bro till we get into January till they get closer to Royal Rumble [2025] and that’s all we’re seeing.”

Vince Russo also slammed The Bloodline’s and other heel factions’ lack of heat and suggested that Triple H could learn a thing or two about generating heat from the New World Order (nWo) faction:

“I mean, they open up the show with The Bloodline beating up freaking extras in the back. This group has no heat. We’ve seen them get beat down week after week after week. I think somebody needs to play back Hogan, Hall, and Nash to really show Trips [Triple H] what heat is.” [From 00:05 to 01:21]

Vince Russo recalls asking a special favor from WWE CCO Triple H

The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion recently discussed his last conversation with Triple H. Paul Levesque currently holds the position of WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Vince Russo recalled a positive experience where The Game responded to his email request to induct his friend, Jason Sensation, into the Hall of Fame.

“I’ll be honest with you, man. My good friend, Jason Sensation, was in a bad health situation. So, I emailed Triple H. The last time I spoke to him was 1999. I emailed Triple H, and I said, ‘Bro, it’d be a nice gesture to put Jason Sensation in the Hall of Fame. It would make the dude’s life. The dude still loves WWE.’ And Triple H answered me back which I thought was pretty nice of him. I’m not particularly kind to the WWE. But he answered me back, and we had a nice exchange,” he recalled.
