33-year-old star set to win first WWE singles title at Saturday Night’s Main Event – Reports

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is around the corner and the company is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable show. Aside from the announced four matches, the show is likely to feature the ongoing Women’s United States Championship Tournament Finals. A new report has shed light on who could become the inaugural champion.
The title was introduced last month, with Nick Aldis announcing that 12 female stars from SmackDown will compete in a tournament to determine the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. The first-round matches are already over and the semifinals will take place on SmackDown this coming Friday where Bayley will face Chelsea Green and Michin will take on Tiffany Stratton. The winners will clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event to crown the new champion.
Dr. Chris Featherstone has provided a spoiler on who may win the tournament, noting that Chelsea Green is slated to become the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion.
Chelsea Green has been touted as one of the best rehires by Triple H. However, the 33-year-old has not won any singles titles during her time with the company. That could change at the upcoming show on Saturday.
WWE veteran Vince Russo also believes that Chelsea Green should win the Women’s United States Championship
Chelsea Green has been on a role since returning to WWE at Royal Rumble 2023. While the 33-year-old has only won one title since her return, she will have a chance to write history as she could become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion.
Vince Russo also believes that Triple H and Co. should put the title on Green as she is one of the most over stars on the WWE roster:
“This is such a no-brainer. Tiffany has the (Money in the Bank) briefcase. So, Tiffany doesn’t need the (US Championship) belt. Get Tiffany and Chelsea to the finals. Get Chelsea over.”
Chelsea Green has been paired with Piper Niven ever since her former Sonya Deville got injured. The two won the Women’s Tag Team Championship last year but Deville suffered an ACL injury which led to her relinquishing the title. Chelsea then joined forces with Niven.
