All about Dickies Arena Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, set to host Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour

Dickies Arena in Fort Worth is one of the best stadiums in the nation. Dickies is a clothing company that had the rights for naming the arena during the construction in 2019.

This paved the way for a unique stadium of 14,000 capacity with a budget of $540 million raised through a unique private-public partnership. It was spearheaded by local billionaire Ed Bass, who arranged the evolve deal, and such acclaim matches its stunning design.

The stadium itself feels like an interior based in the future with homages to the past in its architecture. Since it’s opening, it has attracted 2 million visitors every year. To help facilitate these guests, they built a six-level parking garage with 2,200 spaces. Thus, the whole piece is very thoughtfully built. This has led to them earning a lot of praise from the outside world.

In 2023, Dickies Arena was ranked the best arena in the world within a seating capacity of 10,001-15000 by Billboard. The number two spot belonged to Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. The Moody Center in Austin came third. Keeping in mind the rating of those arenas, the success of Dickies Arena is all the more spectacular.

Acknowledging the list, general manager Matt Homan said, “It is a tremendous honor to be named Billboard’s No. 1 venue in the world, and we will continue to bring an array of top-notch entertainment to the City of Fort Worth.” Not just Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour, Dickies Arena also hosts a dynamic lineup of events year-round.

Events in Dickies Arena, Fort Worth other than GOAT Tour

The arena has been hosting a slew of events that keep its visitors entertained all year round. “Dickies Arena is focused on bringing diverse events to the city of Fort Worth, including sports and concerts and everything in between, to reach out to and entertain all the residents of Fort Worth,” said Matt Homan. Among the biggest shows brought to the Dickies Arena is George Strait, known by many as the King of Country Music.

Strait’s performance on November 18-19 and 2022 sold 29000 tickets, with their footsteps being closely followed by South Korean band Stray Kids who arrived in March 2023 and sold 24000 tickets. In September, a performance by Pearl Jam sold more than 29,000 tickets. After the Simone Biles’ Gold Over America tour passes, many other sporting events are lined up to entertain the masses.

TCU and Arkansas men’s team will play a charity basketball game on November 1st. Harlem Globetrotters world tour next year will also come to the arena on February 17th. And the biggest show will be the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships on April 17-19. Fans are eagerly waiting for the competition. Thus, Dickies Arena surely has something to keep its people entertained. Hopefully, the Gold Over America tour will be of similar entertainment value for them.
