Patrick Mahomes has admitted to not playing well and is focusing on sharper execution and tightening up the fundamentals. Former Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears also shares his thoughts on the Chiefs’ offensive woes, highlighting missed opportunities and the need for improved execution. Sharing his thoughts on ESPN’s NFL Live, Marcus Spears didn’t mince words about the Chiefs’ offensive woes.

“It feels like Kansas City’s offense is out of wack,” he said. Spears acknowledged the telepathic connection between Travis Kelce and Mahomes, their ability to extend plays and create backyard-style passes that move chains. “They look out of sync,” Spears said.
In their recent game against the Falcons, Mahomes completed 26 out of 39 passes for 217 yards, while Travis Kelce, a stat-sheet staple, managed only 69 yards in three games. Spears did note a silver lining, pointing out that other players like Rashee Rice are beginning to step up as key targets. “Hopefully, they’ll get it figured out,” Spears added. “We got a little bit of trust that they will. But as of right now, it doesn’t look the same. And it doesn’t look as dominant as we’ve grown accustomed to.”
The Chiefs face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4, their first divisional matchup of the season. The offense’s perfect start will be scrutinized to prove their early-season stumbles as a sign of success and silence critics.
