TESS quickly became part of daily life at the school. Bullying incidents dropped dramatically. Even Brady kept his distance.

So Kai came up with a new idea.

With the help of his classmates — including Brady, who was now trying to change his ways — Kai launched Rocket Kids, a website where children could share stories, get support, and learn ways to handle bullying. The platform grew quickly, reaching schools around the world.

A year later, TESS robots were in over 50 schools. Rocket Kids had more than 100,000 members. Kai even found out that the original idea for TESS had come from his own sketch in his ruined journal — a drawing his father had secretly rescued and used to inspire the robot’s creation.

“You changed the world,” Elon told his son one evening.

Kai smiled. “I just wanted the bullying to stop.”

“And you did,” his father said. “Not just for you — for everyone.”

Kai still dreamed of Mars. But for now, he was helping make Earth a kinder, safer place for all kids — one idea, one robot, one story at a time.
