New Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham is making waves online after her latest daring photoshoot.

Cunningham took to Instagram to share striking images from a photoshoot in which she wore a black halter wrap bikini, paired with a black Western cowboy hat, boots and a leather fringe jacket.

The images, shot against the backdrop of a Yates GMC pickup truck, quickly caught fans’ attention and sparked an outpouring of admiration in the comment section.

“OMG, absolutely perfect,” one fan wrote.

“Beautiful,” another commenter simply stated.

“Look forward to watching you here in Indy,” a local supporter added.

“Wow!!! Wow!!!” a social media user said.

“Sorry let me go pick my jaw up off the flo,” another poster joked.

Some comments also referenced her impact on promoting the truck, with one user joking, “Well geez if someone didn’t want a truck before!!!”

Aside from her trending post, Cunningham has had a whirlwind offseason. She was recently traded from the Phoenix Mercury to the Fever in a blockbuster four-team deal.

The veteran shooting guard, originally drafted by the Mercury in the second round of the 2019 WNBA Draft, is now expected to play a key role in the Fever’s efforts to build a title contender.

The Fever have been one of the most aggressive teams this WNBA offseason. In addition to Cunningham, they retained star guard Kelsey Mitchell and brought in notable players such as Sydney Colson, Brianna Turner, Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner.

With rising star Caitlin Clark and reigning Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston leading the way, the Fever are gearing up for a highly anticipated season.

Interestingly, Cunningham’s past praise for Clark has resurfaced after the trade. In an October 2024 interview on “The Travis Hearn” podcast, she defended Clark against critics and expressed excitement about the young star’s impact on women’s basketball.

“She’s lovely. She has a lot of pressure on her shoulders, and I think a lot of people always have a lot to say about people they don’t even know or shoes they’ve never been in,” Cunningham said.

Now, her wish to play alongside Clark has become a reality. The Fever’s season opener against the Chicago Sky on May 17 will mark the beginning of this new chapter and plenty of eyes will be on Cunningham as she joins forces with one of the league’s most talked-about rising stars.
