According to CNN , the new owner of the house is billionaire Ron Burkle, co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins Group. A spokesman for Mr. Burkle confirmed information about the sale on December 26 but did not disclose the purchase price, although The Wall Street Journal reported the final price was $22 million.

The farm is named after the fairy tale about the land “Neverland” in the movie about Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up.

Michael Jackson bought this mansion in 1987 for $19.5 million. He is a singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actor and is known as the king/king of Pop music.

The farm sits on a 2,700-acre property that once housed 22 structures, including a playhouse and a zoo with elephants, giraffes, orangutans and a chimpanzee named Bubbles Michael Jackson.

The King of Pop died in 2009, the cause of which the Los Angeles County coroner said was “acute propofol poisoning”. Propofol is a sedative that causes sleep.

Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted in 2011 of manslaughter in connection with Jackson’s death and spent nearly two years in prison.

In 2014, this farm was offered for sale for $100 million under the new name Sycamore Valley Ranch. However , in 2017, it was removed from the list of real estate for sale because there were no buyers even though the selling price at that time was only 67 million USD.

In 2019, this property was once again listed for sale for $31 million. This property, according to CNN , is jointly owned by the late singer Jackson’s real estate fund and a fund managed by real estate investment fund Colony Capital.

Neverland Ranch is where Jackson lived for 15 years. The land is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, a place famous for its wineries and 210km northwest of Los Angeles. Over the years, the land affected by wildfires in the US has degraded.
