WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio is keeping his cards close to his chest. The Judgment Day member is certainly up to something and might soon surprise fans. He was spotted on SmackDown last week talking to general manager Nick Aldis.
This raised speculations that the former NXT North American Champion might move to SmackDown amid his differences with The Judgment Day, especially with Finn Balor on RAW. There’s one superstar who might follow ‘Dirty’ Dom to the blue brand. The name in question is none other than his father, Rey Mysterio.
The Master of the 619 has bad blood with his son Dominik after the latter betrayed him in 2022. However, he might move to SmackDown, keeping the door open for an alliance with Dominik in case The Judgment Day goes after him. As part of the transfer window, Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio could reunite on the blue brand.
At WrestleMania 40, the father-son duo faced off in a tag team contest. While Rey teamed up with Andrade, Dominik combined forces with Santos Escobar.
Since Rey Mysterio recently turned 50, the sun is gradually setting on his in-ring career. Hence, the Hall of Famer might consider burying the hatchet with his son. Rey might ally with Dominik to take on The Judgment Day at a major WWE Premium Live Event.
Dominik Mysterio might turn on Finn Balor at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Dominik has seemingly been at loggerheads with Finn Balor for the past few weeks. The two had a heated exchange on Monday Night RAW, where Balor accused Dominik of allowing Damian Priest to get close to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship again.
Dominik hit back at Balor, accusing him of being jealous of his progress in the company. ‘Dirty’ Dom also highlighted how he got close to the World Heavyweight Title while mocking The Prince’s failed championship pursuits.
‘Dirty’ Dom is known for betraying people close to him. Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley are classic examples. The 27-year-old superstar might finally turn on Finn Balor at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Prince would compete in a Triple Threat contest against Damian Priest and Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Dominik might come out during the match and attack Finn Balor, causing him to lose the bout. Later, he could walk out of The Judgment Day and feud with Balor as a babyface. And who knows, Rey Mysterio might save the day for his son if the heel faction targets him. As of now, this is just speculation, and it remains to be seen whether the Hall of Famer is willing to settle his differences with his son.
