Brittany and Patrick Mahomes welcome third child, Golden Raye
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – It’s a bye-week miracle — the Mahomes are now a family of five.
Golden is the couple’s third child together, born just over two years after older brother Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2, and nearly three years after Sterling Skye Mahomes, 3.
The couple announced baby no. 3 and her gender in mid-July but didn’t share a due date. In late December, however, it was revealed that Brittany was due on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, conveniently during the Kansas City Chiefs’ well-earned bye week
CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson said Patrick, quarterback for the Chiefs, told her he couldn’t wait to get back to Kansas City after the Chiefs lost to Denver the previous Sunday, Jan. 5. He also said if Brittany hadn’t delivered the baby by her due date, she would be induced the next day.
According to Brittany’s post, Golden was born on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025.
In a July press conference, Patrick was clear that there shouldn’t be expectations of a fourth.
“I’m done. I’ll say that. I did three and I’m done,” he said.
